Sustainable NZ & Tiaki Promise
We offer delicious homemade food whilst supporting the NZ community, reducing our carbon footprint & paying the upmost respect to the welfare of the producers and the unbeatable quality of the NZ land. The Surf Shack undertakes a sustainability audit each year and has seen us introduce for example a free 24/7 water refill station, smart purchasing and also implementing an array of plant based meals on the menu. Sustainability is a huge influence on how we run our Eatery and products we choose to introduce or sell on. During 2023 - 24 we have been mapping our business against the circular economy and have implemented some really cool kaupapa.
